Description

The Accelerator Down Jacket is perfect for an array of activities in the mountains - think demanding mountaineering expeditions, summer backpacking trips, and ski days with friends. The premium materials & athletic design create a lightweight down jacket that is made to perform.

The Pertex® Quantum ripstop nylon shell keeps the wind out and holds ~4oz of ethically sourced 850 Fill-Power, water resistant down for lightweight warmth. A PFAS-Free water-repellent coating on the shell fabric, combined with water-expanding thread, acts as the first defense against precipitation, while the PFAS-Free water-resistant down prevents internal moisture buildup.

Synthetic insulation mapping in high-moisture areas (underarms and mouth guard) keeps you warm during high-heart-rate activities.

The athletic fit is designed to fit perfectly over a base layer (and potentially a whisper-thin mid layer). This takes advantage of down’s insulating properties by reducing the need to heat unnecessary dead space and by reducing updrafts.

Hem and hood drawcords prevent unwanted airflow and work to keep you warm.

An integrated stuff sack in the left-hand pocket allows the entire jacket to easily compress to a size similar to a standard 32 oz Nalgene.

We use top-of-the line YKK zippers for all of our products.

Everyday jacket

Light, warm, and endlessly wearable. Worn it nearly everyday since receiving it. Fill feels great and the material is super soft. Agree that it stains easily but that just means life is being lived. I bought Golden Hour and love the color. I'd say it's a touch more orange than the photo.

Better than the Cerium LT

My Arc’teryx Cerium was finally losing its down and I was looking into replacing it. I didn’t want to replace it with Arc’teryx again for personal reasons. I heard about Himali from a friend who met them at the Ouray Ice Festival.

So far, it’s warmer and very comfortable. It feels more closer to a SV than a LT, but it’s made very well. I also love the colors. The sleeves are a bit long and I thought the sizing chart was a bit inaccurate. You should buy the size you usually wear compared to their sizing chart. Other than that, I’m very happy with the jacket.

Great jacket!

This is my 3rd Himali Jacket so I am definitely a fan! It is warm enough for cool winter nights and travels really well. I got the new green color to wear on Safari and am very excited to try it out next month.

Insanely nice jacket

I never leave reviews, but love this jacket! I got this jacket in late August and waited until I had used it in some different conditions to write a review. I am on a trip to Fairbanks AK, and it exceeded my expectations-- I went xc skiing in -10F weather with wind chill at -27F with just this, a merino baselayer, and a light fleece mid layer and was bordering on too warm, and I am really prone to cold- I use a 0deg sleeping bag even in the summer. It is super warm and wind resistant. I have also been wearing it around Seattle on my commute, and it is really nice for that as well-- it is shockingly waterproof. The hood is really nice as well, I love that it cinches and how far up the neck zips. I think it definitely runs small, I usually get a size medium but I got a size large in this and it's still a little tighter than I'd like. I like the women's fit mostly, it curves really nicely to fit the body well, but I do wish it was a little looser around the hips as someone who is a bit curvier/ more athletically built.
