One of the best hardshell pants

The fit and material are perfect. This will keep me dry in the rain and snow and warm with a base layer.
I would highly recommend the Moonsoon hardshell 2.0 pant for your next adventure!

Solid Shell

These pants perform well in snow. They feature exceptional water resistance and are very light. The zippers are all taped and kept the things in my pocket dry. Of note, the knee pocket isnโ€™t particularly deep. The full side zippers are awesome and easily fit over down hill ski boots. They also feature a snap at the bottom. Also appreciated the reinforcements on the inner bottom sections. Do wear after a few uses.

The pants fit well, but two flags are are warranted. First, they are fairly form fitting. Way more fitted than other shells Iโ€™ve used. Second, while the keep the wet out they arenโ€™t insulated. As a result, I found I paid a lot more attention to my base layer. It needed to pull moisture away, help keep me warm, and not be bulky. If I had to do all over I would get the extra large (Iโ€™m 6 ft 2 in ~ 180 lbs). Definitely donโ€™t need more length, but it would be nice to have extra waist space.

Overall solid choice for all day snow adventures.

Well Built and Solid

This will mimic my Monsoon Jacket Review...l am lucky enough to live 30 minutes from their store in Boulder. I was waffling about with what size to get. I was measuring as a large and sadly minimal reviews on fit. The website says athletic fit which for me means it's going to be tight. But since this is my first hard shell pant I didn't want to mess up. So let's settle this! I measured right in the middle of the large.
I am 6'2" tall and medium build but with a large posterior end. I struggle with soft shell pants because they are usually meant for smaller posterior ends. I went to the store with my expected layers, which was undergarment and Mammut soft shells.
Large was very restrictive when bedding and squatting. Then tried the XL with the same layers and it was a little more loose and didn't restrict. These do have some clips up top that can adjust for what is underneath. I had it set all the way loose and it had some room still. The elastic did a good job lightly sucking it in. They also will fit nicely with just a pair of base layers underneath on days I know I'm just using a hard shell. They are also not baggy at all which was a plus. I hope this review helps a future buyer! After a few seasons I will do a long term review! I will say up front that the fit and finish on these pants are very nice and I'm quite impressed that it doesn't sound like I'm a walking plastic bag.

High Quality and Light Material

I bought a pair for a recent trip to Nepal. I enjoyed the quality, insulation and detrails supporting tough and rugged conditions.
