Great Windshell

I donโ€™t have much wearing time with the Nebula, but I have used it on a few shorter hikes, light wind or calm, cool or warm, and it has performed better than expected.

The Pertex Quantum Air fabric is softer and more breathable than my Houdini Air Iโ€™ve had for a few years. It is a different fit than the Houdini and other such shells in that it fits more like a hardshell. Iโ€™m generally a L/XL depending and the XL is the better fit for me (195#, 5โ€™ 11โ€, 46 inch chest, 34โ€ waist). I could probably wear a large but the torso would be a little snug with a bulkier layer underneath. The Nebula is longer in length than what Iโ€™m used to, but it works well. The sleeves are a good length and the hood is well designed and functions as expected. Very pleased overall.

I have two minor issues that I hope get corrected at some point. One, the sleeve cuffs are perhaps a bit too large as they donโ€™t snug up around the wrist. Consequently, the sleeves wind up covering half your hand. The second issue is the chest stuff pocket; it really needs a double zipper pull to make it easier to zip the pocket when the shell is packed.

Other than that, this is another great Himali garment.

great wind shell - my only gripe is I wish they put a double zipper inside the chest pocket for storage - kind of tricky to pack with the current design - other than that all good - nice blue color too

Versatile wind shell made of lightweight Pertex fabric

Nice versatile wind shell made out of soft Pertex fabric. Lightweight and easy to pack, well-suited for hiking and cycling. Sized somewhat large.

Perhaps the Perfect Windshield E.V.E.R!

Like other Himili products, the Nebula Wind Shell is a home run. If you are a weekend warrior, hardcore cyclist, trail runner or elite mountaineer, Nebula was made for you. Iโ€™m not hyping it, I mean it. Lightweight, compact, and wind-resistant without bulkโ€”a two-way zipper accommodates a harness for easy tie-ins, and the hood works over helmets and stores in the breast pocket, but what I like most is how it feels. The Pertex Quantum Air Fabric is amazingly soft, sheds a bit of rain, dries fast and actually wicks.

Measurement Guide: 


1. SLEEVE: With the elbow slightly bent, measure from the center of the neck (vertebrae), Over the shoulder, along the outside of the arm, and down to the wrist bone


2. CHEST: Measure beneath the arms at the fullest circumference of the chest


3. WAIST: Measure around the narrowest part of the waist. 


4. HIP: Measure around the widest part of the hip. 


5. INSEAM: Measure the inside of your leg from the highest point down to the ankle or desired pant length.


Tips: 


Find a soft tape measure and a helper.


If your sizes line up in two distinct different size categories for chest, waist, or sleeve, choose the larger size.


If your sizing is between two categories, size down for a slim fit and size up for a looser fit.
