I ordered this and the arcteryx beta at the same time to see which jacket was better and as soon as I unboxed them I knew I was keeping the Himali. It is made with the same premium quality with just as many pockets and vents but with better fit and styling.
I've owned several jackets of this type from different brands... this jacket is the most versatile and effective of them all.
Really impressive jacket - great quality and clearly a focus on design + attention to detail.
The Ignition red detailing for zips and logo is a dark purple - really nice touch and matches the detailing on the medic blue accelerator down jacket.
International shipping with UPS was fast.

The monsoon jacket is very lightweight with high quality material and zippers. The water and wind proofing is up to par with other big brand companies. An amazing bang for your buck purchase!
I like a hard shell for skiing, both as a "backup" for touring, and as a regular jacket for resort days. And this is perfect for that. Relatively lightweight, it still blocks strong winds, and it accommodates all kinds of different layers underneath. But it's not too loose/bulky, and the material is very comfortable and moves with you. Only slight con is the double zipper is a little finicky, but so are most I guess.

Measurement Guide:
1. SLEEVE: With the elbow slightly bent, measure from the center of the neck (vertebrae), Over the shoulder, along the outside of the arm, and down to the wrist bone
2. CHEST: Measure beneath the arms at the fullest circumference of the chest
3. WAIST: Measure around the narrowest part of the waist.
4. HIP: Measure around the widest part of the hip.
5. INSEAM: Measure the inside of your leg from the highest point down to the ankle or desired pant length.
Tips:
Find a soft tape measure and a helper.
If your sizes line up in two distinct different size categories for chest, waist, or sleeve, choose the larger size.
If your sizing is between two categories, size down for a slim fit and size up for a looser fit.
