Himali Eclipse: My New Perfect Sun Hoodie

I'm 6'1", 220 lbs, and do heavy weighted rucks plus some beginner mountaineering, including winter Colorado 13ers. I've tried many sun hoodies, but most had poor fit, bad wicking under a pack, or got too hot.
The Himali Eclipse Sun Hoodie (bought at their Boulder store) is the first one that actually works.
The fit is athletic and close to the body without being tight. No bunching or riding up under a pack harness, and it the XL feels right for a bigger build.
Breathability is excellent. Zero sweat buildup, even on a 26-mile ruck with 45#. The fabric is thin, airy, and moves heat and moisture away fast.
The hood fits easily over my ball cap and allows great airflow.
Overall, this hoodie exceeds expectations for high-effort, sweaty days with sun and heavy loads. It's lightweight, packs small, and is now my go-to.
Highly recommend.

Measurement Guide: 


1. SLEEVE: With the elbow slightly bent, measure from the center of the neck (vertebrae), Over the shoulder, along the outside of the arm, and down to the wrist bone


2. CHEST: Measure beneath the arms at the fullest circumference of the chest


3. WAIST: Measure around the narrowest part of the waist. 


4. HIP: Measure around the widest part of the hip. 


5. INSEAM: Measure the inside of your leg from the highest point down to the ankle or desired pant length.


Tips: 


Find a soft tape measure and a helper.


If your sizes line up in two distinct different size categories for chest, waist, or sleeve, choose the larger size.


If your sizing is between two categories, size down for a slim fit and size up for a looser fit.
